Your Long-Distance Moving Partner
Long-Distance Senior Moving, Without All the Uncertainty
Moving to another state is a big transition. For older adults and their families, there is often much more to coordinate than simply getting furniture from one home to another.
Rose’s Daughters helps manage the entire process. From planning, packing and coordinating your long-distance move, to unpacking and setting up the new home, we build your move around the support you actually need.
Through our trusted moving partners and nationwide network of senior move management professionals, we can help make a long-distance move feel just as organized as a local one.
How We Help
A Better Way to Handle a Long-Distance Senior Move
A long-distance senior move can involve downsizing, packing, transportation, coordinating two homes, working with a senior living community, unpacking, and making sure the new space is ready.
We create a move plan based on what you and your family need. We can help with the entire transition or step in for specific parts of it:
- Move planning and coordination
- Downsizing and organization
- Packing
- Coordination with our long-distance moving partners
- Coordination with senior move managers at your destination
- Unpacking
- Home setup
Exclusive Long-Distance Moves
Your Belongings Aren’t Sharing a Truck With Several Other Moves
Traditional long-haul moving can mean sharing truck space with other customers and receiving a window for when your belongings may arrive. That uncertainty can make an already complicated senior move even harder. Rose’s Daughters coordinates long-distance moves through our moving partners using a dedicated truck and driver.
Dedicated Truck & Driver
Your belongings are the only customer shipment on the truck.
Familiar Room Setup
We help recreate familiar layouts, place meaningful belongings thoughtfully, and unpack essentials first so the new space feels recognizable and comforting.
Family & Care Team Coordination
We coordinate with everyone involved in the move, including senior communities and memory care staff, so timing, belongings, access, and move-in details are handled with compassion and clarity.
Our Process
How Long-Distance Moving With Rose’s Daughters Works
1. We Start With Your Move
Every senior move is different. We learn where you are moving, what needs to come with you, what help you need and what needs to happen at both homes.
2. We Build Your Move Plan
Your plan can include downsizing, packing, transportation coordination, destination support, unpacking and home setup. You choose how much help you need.
3. We Coordinate the Physical Move
We partner with established local professional moving companies, including AAA Movers and Good Stuff Moving, to handle the physical transportation. The moving portion is coordinated as part of the larger transition rather than simply handing you a phone number and leaving you to figure it out.
4. We Connect the Two Ends of Your Move
If senior move management services are needed outside our local service area, we can help connect you with resources through the National Association of Senior & Specialty Move Managers. When your move plan calls for coordination between teams, we communicate with the selected organization so everyone understands what needs to happen.
Our Network of Partners
Senior Move Management Support Across the Country
Rose’s Daughters is a member of the National Association of Senior & Specialty Move Managers (NASMM). That membership gives our clients access to an important resource when a move extends beyond Minnesota.
NASMM member companies are located throughout the country. If you need senior move management services at your destination, we can help you understand the resources available in that area and, when appropriate, share our experience with organizations we have worked with previously. You ultimately select and contract with the destination provider that is right for you.
When the move requires coordination between Rose’s Daughters and that organization, we maintain communication throughout the process on your behalf. This gives families something incredibly valuable: experienced senior move management resources on both sides of the move.

What Works for You
The Right Amount of Help For Your Move
Not every family needs full-service senior move management. If you’d like us involved from the first planning conversation through the final box being unpacked, we’ll be there. If you have family helping with certain parts of the move or prefer to pack yourselves, that’s okay too. We build our services around your move.
You pack. We coordinate the move and unpack.
We pack. You handle your own setup.
We coordinate the entire transition.
There isn’t one required package. We can help you determine which services make sense for you.
